The Government should use artificial intelligence systems such as Chatgpt to help lead the country, according to the British Secretary for Science.
MP Michelle Donelan, Minister of the British Conservative Government for administration, said that AI apps such as Chat GPT have great potential and that officials should not be afraid to accept the technology that will help them in running the country.
It comes at a time when artificial intelligence receives in force in other parts of Europe, with the Romanian Prime Minister last week, who presented, he claims, the first World Government advisor for artificial intelligence.
Donelan, whose professional experience in marketing for World Wrestling Enterinment (WWE) is reportedly believed that AI technology can play a role in helping management, saying that it is now on officials to understand how best to use similar chatbot in the Government’s work.
“We should never be afraid of these technologies. We need to embrace them, ”said Telegraph Minister.
Donellan added that although she does not see the good idea of Ai being engaged in an advisory role or in a way that she shapes government or state policy about some questions, there are probably other ways in which officials could use technology.
“We need to think about what the use of Chatgpt is … As every other organization would do,” she said, adding that organizations outside the Government should also be ready to accept chatbots to increase their productivity.
“I think these types of technologies will create brand new jobs in areas we have not even thought about, and where it takes us is unlimited,” she said – although it seems more likely to replace human affairs than to create them.
“Of course we need regulation, we need protection measures. But we should never be afraid of these technologies. We should accept and use them so that they can lead to job creation here in the United Kingdom. “
Donelan’s view seems that private organizations should use chatbots in their operations are not shared by everyone, and many companies at the UK and beyond warn the staff to avoid using Chatgpt for safety and other reasons.
Others, meanwhile, have expressed concern about the left-wing bias of Chatgpt, which often refuses to praise the right-wing personality for fear of being “inappropriate” while openly supporting left-wing goals.
Nevertheless, it seems that the confidence of the Minister of Science in a new AI technology, such as Chatgpt, is part of a growing trend in Europe, with numerous continent laws support the increase in the use of AI.
Nicolae Ciuca, the Romanian Prime Minister, seems to be the leader of this new trend, with the Prime Minister who introduced his cabinet to their new robotic colleague, Jonah, during a journalist event last week.
Proplled as the first Government Advisor for Artificial Intelligence, Jonah was allegedly designed by researchers in the country to help government officials to assess the general public attitudes, which will be able to communicate with inhuman intelligence through the Government website, Twitter or – in the future – several real -life locations which is yet to be published.
According to Ciucau, Romanian citizens should see their “obligation” to communicate with Jonah, and the Prime Minister said that such an interaction is necessary in order to fully engage the bot in its new position.
