Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss said during a speech in Tokyo that “the free world is at risk” and warned that “authoritarian regimes” are trying to create a “new world order”.
He explains, “we are living in very turbulent economic times, from the shock of the financial crisis, to the Covid crisis, from which we are still recovering.”
According to Truss, fewer people live in a democracy compared to 30 years ago. “Meanwhile, authoritarian regimes are strengthening their weapons, as well as their arguments.”
