Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss said during a speech in Tokyo that “the free world is at risk” and warned that “authoritarian regimes” are trying to create a “new world order”.
He explains, “we are living in very turbulent economic times, from the shock of the financial crisis, to the Covid crisis, from which we are still recovering.”
According to Truss, fewer people live in a democracy compared to 30 years ago. “Meanwhile, authoritarian regimes are strengthening their weapons, as well as their arguments.”

In October of last year, she resigned as leader of the Conservative Party. She was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for only a month and a half, making her the shortest-serving Prime Minister ever.
