Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe resigned from the guerrilla news organization on Monday, according to reports.
O’Keefe released a video on Vimeo of him reading his letter of resignation.
Former PV reporter Neil McCabe confirmed that O’Keefe stepped down as CEO.
“@JamesOKeefeIII, my friend and former boss at @Project_Veritas, just read his resignation letter to his former team and board members at their Mamaroneck, N.Y. headquarters. James will make his own way—as he always has before,” McCabe tweeted.

This comes over a week after the Project Veritas board of directors put O’Keefe on paid leave under mysterious circumstances.
The timing of the PV board of directors benching O’Keefe led to speculation that O’Keefe was the victim of an internal coup or hostile takeover, possibly due to outside political pressure after releasing bombshell video of Pfizer Director of Research and Development Jordon Walker making explosive claims about gain of function research and the experimental COVID vaccine.
Many have warned that Project Veritas risks discrediting itself should O’Keefe be removed from the organization he started, especially after its most successful undercover video release to date.
