Many of our wannabe authors tend to copy words from the great Wayne Dyer’s books and sign them as their own, in order to sell them as easily as possible as their self-help manuals that are so popular today.
They never even bother to mention him. He is a quiet whisperer to them who they persistently keep aside, keeping his books hidden deep in their drawers, so that they can continue to copy him in peace and make money from his great wisdom.
Their readers have no idea who is the original author of the words they read and enjoy so much. Many of Dyer’s books have been translated into many languages, thus making it much easier for the readers to get to him. I would rather that the readers all around the world read his books written and published under his name, than that they come into their hands under the names of people who are capable to put their signature on other people’s thoughts that they copied or, if they found a little more time – paraphrased.
Whenever someone inspires me, I like to quote and mention them. I spent many nights with his books and listened with great interest to his inspiring lectures. He was there for me when no one else wasn’t and his words meant a lot to me when I needed them the most. That’s why I will never forget him and will always keep him in my heart as someone who is and always will be so much more than a friend to me.
His philosophy is pure medicine for the soul. He is so much more than just another title on the bookshelf. He is much more than all the books he left us.
He was a highly educated and extremely spiritual author, a real philosopher. Never indoctrinating anyone. Always teaching and guiding people. Sh9wing where the real light is and which light to follow in order to reach happiness and inner peace.
When he left this world and fell asleep forever, he woke up in a better place and with a peaceful and comforting smile on his face continued to fantasize and draw a better world to us all with his magic brush, showing us the path we should follow, showing us with his words and even more the lines between them – the light we should follow, which is that inner light in each and every one of us waiting to be discovered.
That’s why I happily mention him as a dear author, but not only to me, but also to many people all around the world who read his thoughts daily under other names. He probably wouldn’t be angry at that trend at all, nor would it bother him, but he would just say with a smile on his face – let people do whatever they want, if it fills their hearts with happiness…
Words are like water that we all need. And, just as water has its source, so do words. Why am I writing this? I felt the need to write these lines, because every now and then I come across his thoughts signed with the names of his secret admirers who, by some miracle or coincidence, came to the same conclusions as he did and wrote those conslusions “by accident” in the same order of words as Wayne Dyer. Isn’t it nicer to love him publicly? Isn’t it nice to remember which source we got our water from?
With love
